Recorder Groups

Playing the recorder is a fun sociable activity, whilst being relatively inexpensive and a great entry point into reading and playing music. 

We run two groups:

A Starters group – who are learning to play the descant recorder and read music following a published method.
Due to the structured nature of this learning programme, this group has a waiting list to start a new course in September 2026.

A Players group – which is specifically for members who already know how to read music and can play any of the recorders of the basic quartet: descant, alto, tenor or bass. It is an opportunity to make music together, purely for our own pleasure.

This group welcomes new members.
